Privacy policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026

You can play ERS as a guest. Names and scores you submit to the leaderboard are public. We use account and game information to run the game and help you when something goes wrong.

Who we are

This policy covers ERS: Egyptian Rat Screw on the web and in our iPhone app, operated by Slope Agencies LLC. For privacy questions, use our contact form hosted on Houseparty.

Information we collect

How we use it

We use this information to authenticate accounts, remember preferences, run multiplayer games, display scores, prevent abuse, diagnose problems, and respond to requests. ERS does not include advertising or session-replay recording.

What other players can see

Players in your room can see your player name, avatar, card count, and game results. Leaderboard names, avatars, and submitted results are public. Use a nickname if you do not want to share your real name. Anyone you send a game invitation to may join while the room has space.

Service providers

We use Clerk for authentication, Vercel for hosting, and Neon for stored game and leaderboard data. These providers process information to deliver their services. If you choose a social sign-in provider, that provider also processes your sign-in under its own policy. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect users and the service. We do not sell personal information.

Cookies and device storage

Sign-in uses cookies or similar storage to maintain your session. ERS stores preferences, local personal bests, profile choices, and game or score credentials on your device. Clearing browser storage may remove these settings and your ability to manage guest scores; it does not delete published leaderboard entries.

Retention and deletion

Game links expire after 24 hours; expiration does not necessarily mean the stored room record has been deleted. Account information and submitted leaderboard entries remain until removed or no longer needed. Service logs and backups may persist under our providers’ retention practices.

You can manage your account through Profile → Account settings. To request deletion of your ERS account data, guest scores, or other records, use our privacy contact form, mention “ERS deletion,” and identify the account or leaderboard entry. We may ask for information to verify that the records belong to you. Deleting a sign-in account does not automatically remove guest scores, which are stored separately.

Your choices

You can play without an account and choose not to publish scores. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, or object to certain processing. Contact us to make a request.

Children

ERS is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it where appropriate.

Security and international processing

We use access controls and encrypted connections to protect information, but no service is perfectly secure. Our providers may process information in countries other than your own.

Changes and contact

We will update this page when our practices change. For questions or privacy requests, use our contact form hosted on Houseparty and mention ERS.
